Awwwwww....

For some reason or 'nuther, knitbud Joan was unaware that chez midwife was home to not just Pearl the perfect Persian and Butt the Ear-Sucking Cat.....along with a couple of large yard livestock....but doggies too! This little snuggle bum is Spirit. He's my constant companion. Follows me around EVERYWHERE inside, outside...on the bed...on the couch...you get the idea. Total klingon. But he's very sweet. He's a Miniature American Eskimo, about 7 years old now. He was 'gifted' to me for DD as a tiny 6 wk old puppy,by a co-worker who breeds them. These pups are too adorable...hand size powderpuff! Anyway...if you get any yarny goodness from me with long white hair on it...that's Spirit's contribution.

Not any new knitting to show. Working on a project that can't be shown at this time...yarn shopping for the man's Christmas present. I'm making him the Cobblestone and thinking of using Elann.com's Sierra Aran in Lichen. Any other ideas for soft, tweedy, heavy worsted-lt aran weight would be welcome.

The Alaska State Yarn Council Expo IV starts today with classes taught by Lily Chin and local talent. No classes for me...but i hope to visit the Vendor booths and see the fashion show Sat or Sunday.

Well that's all i've got for today....knit on!

Spirit is gorgeous! I have two mini eskies that come in for grooming, Frost & Blizzard. They also have a "little brother" who's a 7-month old toy poodle named Kujo. I think he weighs maybe 5 pounds. But that's a whole other story...

What a cute doggie! Aren't dogs (& cats) awesome - total unconditional love!
Perhaps we'll see you at the Vendor at Yarn Expo on Saturday. No classes for me either - too much school/kid stuff going on.

Happy Friday!

Such a sweet puppy face! I lost my 12-year-old cocker spaniel to liver failure 4 years ago, and I desperately miss having a dog around. There's just nothing like the love and companionship of a K-9.

It's so good to see a dog around yarn instead of just cats. I'm more of a dog person myself (don't tell anyone). The photo and description of his clingyness also makes me miss my own pups!

Awww...what a sweetie! He could not be more content. I love having a pup glued to me 24/7.

Have fun shopping at the exhibition.

For DH's sweater, I wonder if Sierra Aran might be pilly for a sweater. Mind you, I have only knitted one baby sweater in my life but I think I'd like tightly spun fibers for a guy's sweater, if there is any such animal. Plus SA will be itchy. Just food for thought tho' SA does rock.

Oh my gosh he is just too cute! I want one of those! I have a two cats who like to snuggle but then they start to play with the yarn . . .

Awwww Spirit is adorable! I love your description "hand sized powder puff". That would've been a good description of my little girl (Havanese) too! :-)
