I can't believe I had all last week off and didn't blog at all. What DID I do? Hmmm....
Put up and decorated the Christmas tree and many other homey holiday touches....
Made homemade marshmallows..so yummy! and supervised the girls (DD, her BF and the little Grandma Clara) in the making of truffles and chocolate dipped pretzels! I'm thinking Grandma Clara and DDs BF have been sampling...enlarge the pics and I believe you will see chocosmudges around their mouths! so busted!
I'm obviously not the only one enjoying the new kitchen.
And I finally finished, blocked, and wove ends on all those Maine Morning Mitts for my midwife colleagues. Thirteen pairs in all. All from stash. Distributed by elf today. I heard they were "warmly" received.
What else..hmmm....mostly just sorting through and getting rid of or repurposing boxes of mostly things I don't need/want anymore from pre-remodel packing up. A bit of shopping, a bit of cooking, a bit of scheduled vehicle maintenance, you know...life. I will likely not post again until after the holidays, so if I don't, here's wishing you and your families a very healthy and happy holiday season. Knit on.

Merry Christmas! The new kitchen remodel looks fabulous. Your co-workers are lucky - the mitts are lovely!
Hey kiddo-
I made homemade marshmallows one year-they just weren't all that.
I will be a yarn ho and ask-did you buy Needful Arte? I am desparately seeking color 501-it looks like you had the pastelly color, did you buy any others?
The kitchen looks great and they sure seem to be enjoying it.Everyone knows that you must sample...you don't want anyone getting a bad one! Your tree is very pretty as well.
What a Beautiful Tree! And those goodies look really good. And what a thoughtful gift for your team.
Warm hands and warm hearts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Oh, Happy Knitting Too!
Your kitchen looks great! I haven't made chocolate in years (ok, last time I made them I brought them to work to share with coworkers, so that would have been 4 years ago), perhaps it's time to make some again. Looks so yummy!
Merry Christmas!
Oh my - so many gorgeous mitts! I keep liking one better than the other! Sounds like you have been busy and the girls and grandmas seem to be having a wonderful time!
Those mitts are lovely - what a kind and generous gift for those hard working midwives.
